Valentine’s Day was celebrated by many yesterday with lots of flowers, chocolates, cards and gifts of love. Children sharing their special valentines with their friends and teachers.. But, there is a grander love more than we can imagine, and that is the love of God.
God is love. His love is unconditional. He gave His son, Jesus so that we could know His love intimately and have an everlasting relationship that is pure and undefiled.
He loves us just as we are- Broken. God created us in our mother’s womb for a purpose. That purpose is to love God with all our heart, soul and mind. There is no greater purpose than to know His love for us and to share in that love by building a relationship that is eternal. As we bathe in His word and truly know Him, we fall more in love with his sacrificial, unconditional, grace filled love, more and more.
Do we believe His love is Enough?
His love never runs out. I love the song sung by Bethel-
One Thing Remains…
Is His love enough? To be honest, I have been asking that question this past month.
In life we have lots of highs and lows. For me recently, I have faced high highs and low lows; relational rejection with hurtful words, a brand new beautiful granddaughter, a son getting engaged, a daughter getting engaged and married, my mother in law passing, new changes of empty nest and making plans for the future ahead. Definitely a lot more highs than lows. However, in my mind, I want everything beautiful, healed and healthy. However, life is not like that. All believers are growing at various stages with God. Not everyone is going to love and treat us in the ways that are right. Emotional and physical health are gifts.
There are so many variables around us, but the one thing that truly remains is God’s love. The song’s lyrics, “Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me”
The song is very true; all of our relationships are gifts. I have never really focused on that question - is God Enough? It is easy to say God is enough when everything is going our way; Relationships are in sync, health is great and all things seem to be going right in all the other areas of our lives.
No one or anything can truly satisfy our Souls except Jesus….
If we are married, our husband is a gift…
If we have children, our children are gifts..
If we are single. our friends are only gifts…
“For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry
soul he fills with good things.” Psalm 107:9
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1
No one else can give us eternal life and everlasting unconditional love…
This February marks new beginnings of trusting in God – trusting that His love is Enough. I am filled with His Spirit, wow.. God truly living in me.. Everlasting love… May I live out more fully His love because of the work He is doing in my soul. Trusting in Jesus, believing that His word is true, His love for us endures forever… His perfect love casts out all fear. I am trusting in all things -
My prayer for you and me:
“Our Father, the giver of all good gifts of love, You alone are love and worthy of praise. May we adore you and love others with a genuine and sincere heart. Amen.”
Bask in His love everyday. Repeat His truth in your mind. You value what you think on each day. He loves us and we must know His truth and let the truth go down into the heart.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23
God is Love
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
