Grazing in God's Pasture

October 5, 2016

In our journey, we must stop and graze in God’s pasture.

Stop, Reflect, Ponder, Eat and Move Forward..

It is so refreshing when we drive down the road and see an open field green and lush with a beautiful farm on it.  The land shouts peace, beauty and life.  Our spirit craves and desires to walk on the ground and breathe in all the beauty…  We like to graze at the beautiful fall blue sky imagining the feeling of the long grass brush up against our legs, breathing in all the aromas of God’s creation as we would enjoy the soft autumn wind against our face observing the colorful leaves rustle in the wind.  All of the textures, smells and our senses come alive calming our souls with such a serene picture..

Today, if I had such a field that I described above to walk through, I would run wild seeking the peace, joy and pasture that I picture in my mind.  I don’t have that pasture today, but I do have the word of God and the Holy Spirit running like a river inside of me.. Living Water. God’s Spirit living inside of me finds rest as I seek the Father above in Heaven, the perfect beautiful place.

He gives us nature to remind us of rest and renewal..  His Spirit feeds my soul and can yours as well…

Daily we need God’s word to feed our soul.  There are days though where we need more of Him.. More grazing in the Pasture of His goodness..   Finding Rest .. Renewal…

Graze in His pasture... Linger... Longer.. Longer.. more of Him..

In God and Him alone will we find the Rest and Renewal..  Our thirst for His living water calms our souls as we graze in His field…

“Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” John 4:13-14 NLT

Its in the green pastures and the streams where we find Him, Hear his voice and He hears us.

He Leads us.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters..

He restores my soul.”  Psalm 23:1-2

Close Your Eyes.. imagine yourself in the most luxious green pasture with beautiful fall leaves all around.. a stream.. trickling by .. Listen for His voice, Give Him your heart with all your praises and concerns.. Enjoy Him… He is there in that pasture.. He gives you rest as your graze, renew, reflect on God’s goodness..

Oh, How I love Jesus..  Oh, How I  Jesus..

Some days, we need to graze longer so our Souls get filled up to serve and love others well..

Empty Souls without the grazing in God’s pasture can’t give God away..

Our purpose in this life is to Glorify God and Enjoy Him Forever..

Graze a little longer today and see His love.. Shine through you…. Worship and Listen to The House of God Forever by Jon Foreman on my Praise page.  This song was played as my husband, Mike lead our daughter, Rachel down the grassy aisle of Serenbe Farms to meet her groom, Dimitri.
