Let the Spirit Lead

April 20, 2016

As we begin each day, we have the opportunity to be led by the Holy Spirit…. to walk into incredible moments with Jesus. If we don’t start the day in prayer and reading His word, we risk getting busy in our routines….. not recognizing the special moments and opportunities to be led by His Spirit.

Lets start the day by opening our hands and giving the day to the Lord.  After all it His day,“This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Every day is a gift that God gives us to share His love and the hope of the saving gospel.  It is an honor to serve Jesus.  We don’t want to miss the opportunities that God gives us each day in our community.

After opening our hands and giving the day to God, Praying that God will lead us in His word and Spirit to bring love and hope to those around us today!! Now, our eyes and hearts are open to be led by Jesus.  Then begin planning your day with the various activites or work that needs to be accomplished and God will direct your steps.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

We never know who need a kind word, warm smile, listening ear, hug or the hope of the gospel.  They could be the one sitting right next to you at your child’s sporting practice or event, coworker, child, spouse, neighbor, widow or even someone that you don’t particularly like… We never know who God will put in our path to share His love..

At the end of the day, lets journal his faithfulness and all the moments we had the opportunity to share love and hope to those around us.

Seek Him in the morning by praying and reading His word.  When we align our hearts and submit our wills to Him, the amazing journey begins...

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord to sing praises to your name. O Most High to declare your steadfast love in the morning and your faithfulness by night."

Psalm 92: 1-2
